Hello Vision,

We’re updating our settings to give you even more control over saved history and personalized recommendations across Google Search services, including Search, Maps, Shopping, Hotels, Flights, Translate, and News. You’ll see this change in your Google Account in the next few days.

What’s changing

Previously, saving history and personalization were managed by Web & App Activity. Going forward, we're introducing two new settings to help you better tailor your experience: Search Services History and Personalized Recommendations. These settings let you revisit your past searches and decide if you want your experience to be personalized. You can turn these settings on or off at any time. As people increasingly search in new ways, like searching a photo with Lens, Search Services History now includes media from your interactions, which you can stop saving at any time.

How this affects your account

New history and personalization settings: These new settings will reflect your most recent choices for Web & App Activity and Search Personalization settings. If these are currently on, these new settings will stay on. If they’re off, the new settings will be off. After the transition, Web & App Activity and Search services settings will be separate, and changes to one won’t affect the other.
Auto-delete: Your prior choice from Web & App Activity for how long your history is saved will also apply to Search Services History. As always, you can change how long history is saved, choose an auto-delete period, and review or delete history manually at any time.
Your media is saved when Search Services History is on: Saved media includes your images, files, audio and video from your interactions with Search services to help improve your experience. For example, this lets you revisit your past visual searches with Lens or continue a Search Live conversation about a song you heard. To support these types of interactive product experiences, Google will now save your media to your Search Services History, applying robust privacy and security protections. Like your Search Services History, your saved media is also used to develop and improve Google services and technologies, including AI models and safety measures. With this transition, if your Web & App Activity setting is currently turned on, this new Save Media subsetting will also be turned on along with your Search Services History. You can turn off your Save Media subsetting at any time, and you can also delete individual pieces of media from your history.

You can manage these preferences on your Search Services History and Search Services Personalization pages.

To redeem the E-Voucher on the Samsung Shop App or online:

Open the Samsung Shop App or go to www.samsung.com/ca during the Offer Period.
Register or login to your Samsung account.
Add your desired Eligible Galaxy S26 Series Smartphone to your shopping cart.
During the Offer Period, enter the E-Voucher into the ‘Promo Code’ box at checkout. The E-Voucher will apply the applicable discount to the total pre-tax price of your purchase.*
Complete your purchase as normal by entering your shipping and payment information.

To redeem the E-Voucher at a Samsung Experience Store:

Visit your nearest Samsung Experience Store in Canada.

Head to the check-out in-store and inform the Samsung Team Member of the E-Voucher. I) Redemption process for purchases made on the Samsung Shop App or online on https://www.samsung.com/ca/

For the purchase of an Eligible Galaxy S26 Series Smartphone made through the Samsung Shop App or online at https://www.samsung.com/ca/, the verification of the Eligible Trade-in Product will be performed by Assurant Services Canada Inc. (the “Service Provider”).

The process is as follows:

Add the Eligible Galaxy S26 Series Smartphone to your cart through the Samsung Shop App or online at https://www.samsung.com/ca/ during the Offer Period.
Complete the Trade-In Tool in your online cart by registering and providing all requested information of your Eligible Trade-In Product, including its Serial Number/IMEI.
The $450 trade-in promotional credit will then be applied towards the purchase price (before taxes and fees) of your new Eligible Galaxy S26 Series Smartphone, at the time of checkout.
Complete the purchase by entering your payment and shipping information during the Offer Period.
A prepaid waybill will be sent to your registered email address when your new Eligible Galaxy S26 Series Smartphone is shipped. The email will come from the Service Provider, and will contain details about the timeline and process of sending your Eligible Trade-In Product to the Service Provider.*
Mail your Eligible Trade-in Product to the address listed on the waybill within 21 calendar days of receiving the waybill.
The Eligible Trade-in Product will be received and assessed by the Service Provider to determine the final trade-in value.

* Please be sure to check any spam/junk folders in your email account if you do not see the email within 48 hours of receiving your shipment information from Samsung. II) Redemption process for purchases made at Samsung Experience Stores in Canada:

The purchase of an Eligible Galaxy S26 Series Smartphone and the verification of the Eligible Trade-in Product will occur simultaneously at the point of purchase at a Samsung Experience Store in Canada. The process is as follows:

During the Offer Period, meet with a Samsung Experience Store representative to complete a physical assessment of your Eligible Trade-in Product.
Select for purchase an Eligible Galaxy S26 Series Smartphone and complete the transaction during the Offer Period.
The $450 trade-in promotional credit will be applied towards the purchase price (before taxes and fees) of your new Eligible Galaxy S26 Series Smartphone at the time of purchase.

This offer is limited to the trade-in of one (1) Eligible Trade-in Product per Eligible Galaxy S26 Series Smartphone purchased. This offer has no cash value. The minimum qualifying trade-in value of the “Eligible Trade-In Product” must be $0 as determined by the Service Provider’s device valuation software. The $450 trade-in promotional credit is based on completing the trade-in towards your purchase of an Eligible Galaxy S26 Series Smartphone as listed above.
