We're writing to let you know that we recently updated Reddit's Privacy Policy and User Agreement. While we encourage you to review the updated documents in full, here are some of the highlights:
In the Privacy Policy, we moved some sections around for better organization and clarity.
We updated the Privacy Policy to better reflect our current or upcoming practices. For example, you may have the option to provide your birthday when you sign up for an account, or we may infer other information such as your age or language. We will use this information to make your Reddit experience more relevant and appropriate (for example, content recommendations and advertising).
For users in Switzerland, we updated the Privacy Policy to reflect that the data controller for those users is Reddit Netherlands B.V.
We made small updates throughout our Privacy Policy and User Agreement to make them clearer and more specific.
The updated User Agreement and Privacy Policy take effect June 28, 2025, and will apply to you if you use Reddit after that date. If you have questions, please visit Reddit Help.
