What did you think of my email subject line?
It's a pretty powerful one because it talks to a core
human motivation, the desire to matter to people.
I've been listening to Dan Ariely's books on predictably
irrational behaviours and it dawned on me how
important the concept of acknowledgement is when
it comes to having an online business.
It's especially important when it comes to customer service.
Customer service is also heavily linked to marketing,
because one bad customer can turn away hundreds
of other people, while one good customer can spread
the word and bring in new customers.
In my new blog post I tie all these ideas together and
give you what I believe is the main key insight you
need in order to avoid a customer service disaster.
You can read it here right now -
If you deal with people online, and who doesn't,
this is a must read.
