Updates to our Terms, Privacy Policy, and Other Policies

Updates to our Policies

Whether you use Eventbrite to explore interests, raise money, learn from others, or support a cause — we want to make sure everyone has a great experience on the platform. To help you do that, we’ve made some changes to our Privacy Policy and certain legal policies. We encourage you to read them in their entirety, but here are some highlights:

Privacy Policy: We’ve updated the Privacy Policy to include additional disclosures and descriptions particularly for our organizers and consumers in the European Union.

Terms of Service: We reorganized our Terms of Service to make them easier to read. Some changes include: new provisions regarding the recording of events, modifications to the arbitration provision, additional rules governing refunds, and incorporation of a Data Processing Addendum for Organizers.

Community Guidelines: We streamlined rules regarding content and user safety on the platform into a single set of updated Community Guidelines that includes the types of events and content that we prohibit.

Merchant Agreement: We’ve updated the Merchant Agreement’s provisions on fees we may charge and rules surrounding refunds and offsets, as well as highlighted organizers obligations unique to paid events.

API Terms of Use: We incorporated a Data Processing Agreement into our API Terms of Use. This Data Processing Agreement will apply to you if you use our API to develop an app through which Eventbrite may process personal data.

The updated Terms of Service will go into effect on May 3, 2018. All other policies, including our updated Privacy Policy, are effective immediately. We will understand your continued use of Eventbrite after the effective date of these changes to be your agreement to the applicable updates.
