Blue Cypress - Callitris intratropica
This is one of those oils that seems to be good for whatever ails you. Listed as an anti-inflammatory due to its high guaiol and guaiazulene constituents, a great antiviral, a great insect repellent, a stimulant to the amygdalla, pineal, pituitary gland, and hypothalamus and a remedy for dry skin. It is also viewed as a natural herpes remedy and to combat HPV, human papilloma virus and other vial infections like chicken pox and the later occurring shingles. It may also be beneficial for liver spots, mononucleosis, cold sores, corns, dermatitis, eczema, flu, gangrene, hyperthyroid, polio, prostate. radiation damage, rash, ringworm.

Historical Uses: Blue Cypress has been used historically for incense, perfume, and embalming. the resin was used for sores, cuts, and upset stomachs. The Tiwi people of Australia would throw the wood onto the fire to drive away insects.

Possible Uses: Abdominal cramps, aches and pains, brain functions (circulation and oxygenation), cold sores, herpes simplex, herpes zoster, and HPV.

How to use: Vita flex, diffuse, apply direct to area. Use on shingles outbreaks and in the Raindrop Technique for shingles.

Precautions: There are none.

Blends well with: Cedarwood, frankincense, helichrysum, lavender, Melissa, and sandalwood for diffusing.
