I just figured out Facebook for Business

Have you been struggling to figure out how
Facebook can be used to get customers?

Yeah, me too.

I mean I get it as a social tool. I use it every
day to check photos and follow my friends and
see what events are coming up.

But how exactly can Facebook be used for
business purposes?

I've known that Facebook "fanpages" are the
tool you can use for your business, but I didn't
understand how exactly getting a whole bunch
of people to like my fanpage was going to
actually lead to customers.

Then I met Brian Moran. This guy really knows
Facebook marketing.

I interviewed him recently and I've just spent some
time today watching the videos he's just released
to the public.

The two key things I learned about using Facebook
marketing are...

1. You need to have an opt-in box on Facebook
that gets people on to your email list.

Now this I understand. Email marketing is
something I've done for years.

Email is still the most effective marketing tool
we have available because it is brilliant for building
relationships.

Okay, so I understand that getting people to join my
email newsletter from Facebook is the goal.

But how?

Here's the next thing I learned...

2. You use the "tabs" on your Facebook Fanpage
    to create landing pages.

A tab is a link on your fanpage navigation right at
the top that takes people to a landing page.

Using the landing page you can send people from
Facebook to your own website, or have them
subscribe directly to your email list.

So the answer is create a Facebook fanpage, then
create a tab on it where you place an opt-in form
landing page to collect people on to your email list.

By doing this you can take the traffic you build up
to your Fanpage and get them to your newsletter
or blog or wherever you want them to go.

Finally, I understand.

THE HARD BIT?

The challenge of course is creating the actual
landing page itself within Facebook.

You need to code it up and do so within the Facebook
environment, certainly not something I can do.

Thankfully Brian has a tool that creates the tabs and
landing page content for your fanpage.

It's called the 5 Minute Fanpage.

I just spent 10 minutes watching a video of how the
tool works, and yes I will be using it to create all my
fanpage tabs and landing pages.

This might seem confusing to you - it was for me -
but after watching the video from Brian I finally understand
how people use Facebook to get customers.

You can watch him use his tool to create a fanpage
opt-in form in video 2 here -

(Enter your email to get access to the video.)

You will also find links to the other videos and a short
report Brian wrote about Facebook marketing.

Note this is a lead in video that actually is selling his
5 Minute Fanpage product, so it is a "pitch" presentation.

I recommend you just watch him use the tool so you
will understand how the whole fanpage tab to landing
page works.

That's the part that finally connected the dots for me.

You can also go back and watch video 1 and read his
report for more details - all free.

Everything is available from Brian's 5 Minute Fanpage Site.

I hope this clears up some of the Facebook mystery for
you as it did me.
